Justin Cornwell

Justin focused much of his time at WONC on sports broadcasting, frequently hosting From the Upper Deck on Sunday nights, covering high school and NCC sports, and serving as the Assistant Sports Director and Co-Sports Director his junior and senior years, respectively. With this experience, Justin earned an internship with WGN-TV as a sports intern, assisting with broadcasts of Cubs, White Sox, and Bulls games.

After graduation, Justin spent time working as a camera operator with Comcast SportsNet Chicago, camera operator on the Independent Feature, Battleground Los Angeles, and was the 2nd Assistant Director for the Los Angeles portion of the Independent Feature, Addison.

Justin also worked at CBS Sports Network in Los Angeles as the Lead Editor for Lead Off with Doug Gottlieb and Allie LaForce, as the Editor for ROME, was Production Assistant for the ESPN show, Jim Rome Is Burning, and Associate Producer for NFL Network’s NFL Game Rewind. Since 2015, Justin has been the Sports Director for Naperville Community Television.

Justin also met his wife when they both worked at WONC. He and his wife, April, married in 2017 and have two children.
